Work with Us
Home Tuition Scotland welcomes applications from qualified and experienced
Learning Support Workers and Tutors for Academic Year 2024-25.
We provide in-person and remote support for students with disabilities and other support needs in Colleges and Universities across Scotland, with the majority of our work based in Edinburgh.
Our main aim is to promote independent learning for students, and all of our Learning Support Workers and Specialist Tutors work with each individual student to encourage independent learning, so they can reach their full potential.
HTS will help you to develop your career alongside fellow Learning Support Workers through sharing resources, developments in your speciality, and training opportunities.
We offer competitive pay rates through both self-employed and worker contracts.
Our recruitment and registration process is robust and follows several stages:
Provision of CV and cover letter in application, indicating your experience
Online interview with a member of our Recruitment Team
Upon successful interview - background check, 2 appropriate references provided, ID documents required, and PVG License application made with personal cost
Completion of two mandatory training courses through HTS - Safeguarding and Suicide Awareness Training
All stages must be completed successfully before we can offer you support work with students.
Registration with HTS is not a guarantee of any student contracts. If you are a suitably qualified (to at least Bachelor’s Degree level) and experienced support worker with a demonstrable commitment to helping disabled students reach their potential, please apply to join us below.
